I am a married mother of a second grader at Sierra Hills School. I have lived in Weimar for six years. My husband and I grew up attending local schools and graduated from Colfax High School. As a professional county land planner, I am involved with policy creation and implementation. I have a deep understanding of how policies shape our institutions and impacts our lives.
I recently served on the Sierra Hills Site Council during the 2022-2023 school year which has provided me with a better understanding of the issues facing our school. I have heard the concerns and praises from parents. I am prepared to serve our students, parents, teachers, and school staff to support our district in meaningful and impactful ways.
I am running for a position on the school board because I strongly believe a successful, equitable society is based on a quality education. A “quality education” means supporting curricula that emphasizes critical thinking and growth by passionate educators. I am asking for you to vote for me to serve on the Placer Hills Union School District Board.
